The botanical gardens surrounding the hotel are a stunning showcase of over 600 species of plants, providing a tranquil and picturesque setting that's perfect for leisurely strolls. Breakfast on the terrace is a highlight, featuring freshly squeezed juices and a good variety of options, making mornings quite delightful.
The steep distance from the hotel to the city center can be a hassle, particularly on the way back, which might not sit well with those who prefer walking. room service choices in the evening are limited, with only a few snack options available, leaving late-night cravings unfulfilled. There are also only limited dining options outdoors, with al fresco dinners only occurring a few times a week, which could feel restrictive during the summer. Lastly, the hotel’s shuttle service is absent on weekends, causing a bit of inconvenience for those looking to explore when the opportunity arises.

Amazing vibes and gardens
We had such a nice time chilling by the beautiful pools and exploring the gardens with all those plants, they’re stunning! The staff were super nice, always smiling and ready to help. Oh, the breakfast was delicious, especially those fresh pastries! Just wish there were more dining options after dinner, a bit limited for late-night snacks.

The botanical gardens were a delightful highlight, with over 600 species of plants creating a tranquil oasis. Breakfast was fantastic, featuring fresh choices and served outside, which allowed me to enjoy the views. The gardens at this Quinta in Funchal captivated me daily. Over 600 species of plants created a vibrant atmosphere, making every walk an adventure. I appreciated the attentive service from the staff, who always greeted me warmly. The room itself was spacious with a large comfortable bed and a pleasant view over the gardens, certainly a highlight of my stay. Breakfast offered a variety of hot and cold options made fresh, particularly enjoyed the poached eggs. I found the lunch menu by the pool to be limited, lacking variety after a few days. The pool area provided a tranquil space to relax, though it felt more crowded at times, especially during peak hours. I utilized the courtesy shuttle to explore Funchal, which was efficient and saved me from the steep walk back. while the hotel has a lovely ambiance and friendly staff, some areas, especially dining choices could use more variety.

Stunning gardens and friendliest staff!
Such an amazing experience! The gardens are breathtaking, perfect for a peaceful stroll. Every meal was like a work of art, breakfast out on the terrace was my fave. Staff were super friendly & attentive, making us feel right at home. The only bummer was the pool area got a bit busy at times, but it didn't spoil the fun!
